Three steps, one afternoon
Most churches get their directory together in a single sitting, then add photos as families send them in.
Add your families
Type them in one at a time, or bring your whole list in from a spreadsheet. Members and regular attendees both belong here.
Fill in what you know
Birthdays, anniversaries, addresses, a family photo. Anything you leave blank simply doesn't show up — no awkward gaps.
Share it or print it
Send the congregation a private link that works on any phone, and lay the same directory out for the church printer.
Share it free
One private link for the whole congregation
Turn sharing on and you get a link to hand out in the bulletin, the group text, or the church newsletter. It stays current on its own — when you fix a phone number, everyone sees the fix. And it stays yours: search engines never index it, and you can lock it behind a password only your church knows.
- Opens on any phone, tablet, or computer — nothing to install and no app to explain.
- Password-protect it so only your congregation can see it, or leave it open to anyone with the link.
- Members search a name and find the family in a second.
- Correct a phone number once and the link is right for everyone, immediately.

And on paper
Laid out for the church printer
Plenty of folks still want a directory on the refrigerator or in the pew rack. The same families you entered come out as a proper booklet or full-page print edition — no margins to fight, no design work.
1, 2, or 4 families per page — a keepsake edition with big photos, or a compact pew directory.
Family photo, everyone's name, who's who, birthdays, anniversary, address, and phone on every card.
Birthday and anniversary lists by month — the pages people actually use.
Cover with your logo and a photo of the church, a welcome page, and a back cover.
Five loved print templates
Pick the directory style your church will actually keep.
These are real presets built from the app's print engine: theme, paper format, and families per page. Open any one as a finished sample, then use the same settings on your own directory.
Already keep a list?
Bring it straight in. One row per person, and everyone sharing a family name lands on the same card. Birthdays can be 3/14, 3/14/1985, or March 14 — the year is always optional. Extra columns are ignored, and blanks are fine.

Questions churches ask
Is this church directory maker really free?+
Yes. Building your directory is free — every family, every photo, every birthday — and so is sharing it with your congregation through a private link. You don't need a credit card to start and there's nothing to install.
Can I keep our directory private?+
Yes. A shared directory is never indexed by search engines, and you can put a password on the link so only your congregation can open it. Members who type the password stay signed in on that device for 30 days. Change or remove the password and everyone is signed out immediately. Turning sharing off takes the page down at once.
How do I get our members into it?+
Either type families in one at a time, or import a spreadsheet. Download the CSV template, type over the sample rows in Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets, and bring it back — everyone sharing a family name and address lands on the same card. It reads birthdays as 3/14, 3/14/1985, or March 14, and the year is always optional since plenty of folks would rather not share it.
What if a family hasn't sent a photo yet?+
The card prints with their family initial in the photo frame, so the page still looks finished. Add the photo whenever it arrives and the directory updates itself — nothing to redo.
Do we have to hire a photographer?+
No. Most churches take family photos after a service on a phone, or use pictures families already have. The layout crops whatever you upload to fit the card.
Can I choose what shows on each card?+
Yes. Photos, birthdays, anniversaries, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses each have their own switch. Many churches print addresses and phone numbers but leave email off. The shared link follows the same switches.
How many families can it handle?+
Hundreds. At 4 families per page a 120-family church comes out around 45 pages including the cover, birthday and anniversary lists, and back cover.
Can we make a new edition next year?+
Yes — your directory stays in your account. Update the families who moved, change the edition label, and print again. You never start over.
